Send agreements to be digitally signed by your clients

First, click on the client in your Client List that you would like to send the agreement to and go to the Onboard section and select Agreements.

In this example we want to request that Michael accepts the main Client Agreement. You click ‘choose one version to send…’.

In this example your Firm Administrator has set up two sub Agreement types for the main Client Agreement template. Full and one specifically for DB Pensions. Select Full and Open the Document. 

You can only send one main Agreement type - e.g. the Client cannot sign both a Client Agreement - Full and Client Agreement - DB Pensions

 If you have used a section which is dynamic, such as the billing or service and fee table, this will open and ask you to enter client specific information. This allows you to tailor the information to each client when you send an agreement if you wish to.

Once this is filled in, click Create New Agreement. On your Client Dashboard for this client, the agreement is now set as Pending, waiting for your client’s acceptance.

A notification will now be sent to your client to review and agree this document. Once they have done this, you will receive a notification that it’s complete.

What does your client see and have to do?

Your client will receive an email which states you have asked them to go into their portal to review and approve a document. They will see on the Activity page the Client Agreement 


This is now a legally binding agreement between you and the Client.

If you have documents which are content rich (images, tables etc), you may want to use our PDF Agreement process. Go to the PDF Agreement section and click New PDF and give the Agreement a name which is clear to the client. Upload the document and click Send Agreement. 

Your client will receive a notification the same way they did the online Agreements but when they open it they will see a PDF viewer form and the Agree/Accept process at the footer. On acceptance, Advicefront watermarks the PDF with the client’s digital footprint. 

It’s that simple to get documents signed by your client.

Where are they stored?

All signed documents are available in the Onboard/Agreements section where you can see that status for each document, like when it was signed, pending, etc.

In the Documents sharing vault you can also see all these agreements and download them as PDFs if needed .
